This is another production from the RCS but instead of a live audience it was filmed over 3 days. This opera was quite abstract and used lighting to bring across some of the major themes. There are four singers and 4 alter egos who are adult and child representations of the two leads.
Role: Costume Supervisor. This was my first paid role in this position but being very familiar with the staff and building regulations I acclimatised well. Since it was being filmed there was more of an emphasis on details, finishings and appropriate fabric choices. I made the red 40s suits and bought most of the costume second hand.

Role: Costume Trainee.
This was really exciting being my first paid job in this industry. I learnt a lo of valuable lessons from the supervisors and had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of people with different levels of experience.

Role: Supervisor of a costume team of 5. Designer, pattern cutter and maker.

We sourced all the costumes in one day and booked out props to take the location which was a ruined castle.
